Manuka honey comes from New Zealand. The honey comes from the honeybees that forage at the native New Zealand tea trees which are also known as Manuka trees.
Thre properties of the honey have been beneficial in treating an assortment of ailments. These include acne and digestive problems.Ref
There could be postive benefits for it’s use in both preventing and treating cancer. Dr Basel Al Ramadi who is a professor and chairman of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University was the lead researcher in a study. He said that small amounts of manuka honey could stop the growth of cancer cells. The amounts were as small as as 1.0 per cent. Ref
